You don't need to kill in YanSim but it doesn't help that the game IS unconfortably violent for no reason other than edgyness. Hatred is less violent than mortal kombat but it still banned because you can pick innocent civilians and stab them in the eye multiple times (hey just like yansim!) YanSim violence might not be on the same level other games but it's presented in a much more "brutal" way and that's what matters.
Danganronpa gets a pass because most people die offscreen and it's not as extreme or explicit as other games. Yes you're right, but these games shouldn't be banned anyway because they're not breaking the rules. Other games have violence/nudity/torture/underage people,etc and aren't banned! Yanderedev spoke a lot in the last video, much more than he needed too.
